Recipe:

Mac and Cheese:


  • 1 lb package short pasta (penne, elbow macaroni, etc)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 8-oz block sharp white cheddar cheese, grated and divided (about 2 cups)
  • 8-oz block smoked gouda cheese, grated and divided (about 2 cups)

Bbq Chicken:

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • salt to taste

Fried Onion Strings:

  • 1 whole Large Onion
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon (scant) Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (to 1/2 Teaspoon) Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 quart (to 2 Quarts) Canola Oil
  • Black Pepper To Taste
